Bulletin boards can serve a variety of valuable uses.

Color it Done

Get a head start.

Decide on the background color of each month's bulletin boards at the beginning of the year. Then, starting with June, attach each month's background to the bulletin board -- one on top of another. During the year, when you take down one bulletin board, the next background is ready to decorate.

Flaunt It

Bulletin boards inform.

Make a bulletin board for all the schedules and calendars that otherwise would clutter your desk or get lost among your files. Dress up this bulletin board a bit by attaching giant plastic glasses and the title "At a Glance."

Get Busy

Bulletin boards engage.

Create bulletin boards that are not only attractive, but also interactive. Bulletin boards that invite students to actively participate in a game or hands-on activity also become student activity centers where students can learn as well as look.
