I Want To Go Back to School

But It's Hard Being a Mother

By Jenissa M., high school student, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I am 16 years old and I dropped out of 9th grade. I have a 6 ½-month-old daughter and I have another one on the way. I want to go back to school because I feel like a loser and a nobody. It's hard being a mother and wanting to go to school. My daughter's father is always working and cannot watch her so it's hard for me. I feel like a housewife that has to cook and clean instead of get an education. I am a very smart person, but I made all of the wrong choices and I regret dropping out! I wish I could go back!
