  • Chicago Food Bank Booth, North Hall, McCormick Place - an ongoing project of NEA to donate needed food and monies. State delegations are encouraged to have some type of creative fundraising effort to support the cause...an NEA tradition since the 1970s!

  • School Supply Drive and Art Supplies - an ongoing project of NEA since the1995 NEA-RA in Minneapolis. Donate school supplies to Chicago children in need. Drop at the Food Bank Booth at the NEA-RA. Much of the donated items will be taken to the ARC of Chicago – called Envision to help low-income young children with disabilities.

  • Book Drive -ongoing project of NEA to donate new and gently used books to children staying at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH)  in Chicago and brand new books and story props to Children’s Memorial Hospital .  Drop books at the Food Bank Booth at the NEA-RA. The RMH will come to McCormick Place to pick up books.  Also, if delegates are interested they may bring "Pop Tabs" to donate also to the RMH…bring to Food Bank Booth.

  • Toiletries Drive – an ongoing tradition/project of NEA for children and families . Drop toiletries off at the Food Bank Booth at the NEA-RA. Supplies will go to the “Harbor Light of Chicago”- mobile outreach to the homeless and to the serve a meal site at Catholic Charities.

We also need volunteers to work at the Food Bank Booth!
