The NEA Midwest Regional Leadership Conference (MRLC) is designed to further enhance knowledge of K-12 educators, support professionals, higher education, student and retired members.

- The Conference registration fee is $135 if paid by December 14, 2009 and $175 fee after December 14th. This fee includes four group meals (Saturday dinner is on your own), reception, breaks, education sessions and Conference materials.
- On line registration ends, Friday, January 15, 2010.

The Conference room rate is $99.00 + 13.4% Tax per night based on single and double occupancy. Quoted room rates are subject to all applicable city, county, state or federal taxes that apply at the time of room occupancy. The group room rates, as established will apply three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the Conference dates, based upon availability of group rooms, at the time of the request.
Hotel Reservations can be made by phone at (800) 445-8667. When calling, be sure to identify yourself as an MRL participant to receive the conference rate.
- Hotel reservations can also be made online. Select book a room at the bottom of the page. Enter your desired hotel dates and room preference and add MRL in the promotion/offer code box and then select continue.
- You will receive an e-mail from the hotel confirming your reservations. If you do not, please contact the hotel directly to confirm your reservations.
- The room cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to arrival. If you cancel your reservation within less than 24 hours prior to arrival, your deposit will be non-refundable and will be charged to your credit card.
- Credit cards will be charged at the time you check in at the hotel.
- Check-in time for all participants is 3:00 P.M. Attendees may be checked in earlier depending on occupancy levels and availability of "ready" rooms. Check out time is 12:00p.m.. In the event you check out prior to your reserved check out date, you will be charged a one night room and tax early departure fee. This charge will be posted to your individual account.
- Please do not book a reservation outside of the NEA group block.
SuperShuttle service from Minneapolis International Airport to the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel is $15.00 one way and $24.00 round trip with coupon. In order to receive the discount, please provide the coupon to the SuperShuttle agent in the ground transportation area. The shuttle runs every half hour to and from the airport to the hotel.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your Conference registration, use RegOnLine. If you do not have Internet Explorer or do not have access to a computer, please contact your State Coordinator to cancel by US Mail.
All refunds that meet the following criteria will be issued within 4 to 6 weeks after the conclusion of the Conference:
- 100% of your Conference registration fees will be refunded if your cancellation is received by January 8, 2010
- No refunds will be issued if you cancel after January 8, 2010
- No refunds will be issued for NO shows
- All refunds will be issued by check.
Miscellaneous
The Open Hearing on Resolutions is scheduled for Sunday, January 23 at 9:15am-10:15am. Copies of the 2009-10 NEA Resolutions will be provided at the Hearing and are also available for advance review on the NEA website by visiting the 2009-2010 NEA Resolutions.

Pre-Conference Events
Additional Training – Women’s Leadership Training Program (WLTP)
Wednesday, January 20 - Friday, January 22, 2010
This training will provide the Personal Assessment Leadership Skills training (PALS), which is designed to prepare women for active roles in the Association by helping them develop a strong self-concept and providing them the resources they need to be effective leaders. PALS training focuses on communication, decision making, and skills for entering the NEA leadership ranks, as well as Association structure, basic information, goals and strategies for leadership attainment.
Participants are selected by their State President’s to attend this training session and are fully funded by Human and Civil Rights WLTP. Participants must attend both the WLTP and the Regional Leadership Conference in order to be fully funded.
