The NEA Northeast Regional Leadership Conference (NERLC) is designed to further enhance knowledge of K-12 educators, support professionals, higher education, student, and retired members.

The conference room rate is $164.00/night based on single or double occupancy. Quoted room rates are subject to all applicable city, county, state or federal taxes that apply at the time of room occupancy. The group room rates as established will apply three (3) days prior to and three (3) days after the conference dates, based upon availability of group rooms at the time of the request.

Hotel reservations can be made by phone at 1-800-228-9290 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place website.  When calling, be sure to identify yourself as a “National Education Association” conference participant and specify the dates of the conference to receive the conference rate.  When making online reservations, go to the hotel web site, and enter your desired hotel accommodation dates.  Please contact the hotel directly to confirm your reservations.  DO NOT contact the Northeast Regional Office for hotel reservations.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations to your conference registration must be received no later than Friday, January 15, 2010.

  • 100% of your fees will be refunded if your cancellation is received by January 15, 2010.
  • No refunds will be issued if you cancel after January 15, 2010.
  • No refunds will be issued for NO shows.

Miscellaneous

The Open Hearing on Resolutions is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 3:15-4:15 p.m.  Meeting room to be announced later.  Copies of the 2009-10 NEA Resolutions will be provided at the Hearing and are also available for advance review on the NEA website by visiting http://www.nea.org/assets/docs/resolutions2009-2010.pdf.

Pre-Conference Events

Additional Training – Women’s Leadership Training Program (WLTP)
Wednesday, January 20 - Friday, January 22, 2010

This training will provide the Personal Assessment Leadership Skills training (PALS), which is designed to prepare women for active roles in the Association by helping them develop a strong self-concept and providing them the resources they need to be effective leaders.  PALS training focuses on communication, decision making, and skills for entering the NEA leadership ranks, as well as Association structure, basic information, goals and strategies for leadership attainment. 

Participants are selected by their State President’s to attend this training session and are fully funded by Human and Civil Rights WLTP.  Participants must attend both the WLTP and the Regional Leadership Conference in order to be fully funded.
