The NEA Pacific Regional Leadership Conference (PRLC) is designed to further enhance the knowledge of K-12 teachers, education support professionals, higher education, student and retired members.

All state, local and self-funded participants, presenters, exhibitors, candidates and staff must register online. If selected by your state to be NEA-funded, your state's PRLC coordinator would have provided information regarding registering online. Those registering online will receive an email confirmation.

  • The conference registration fee is $175 on or before February 12, 2010; the fee is $225 after February 12,2010, and on site. Online registration fee payments may be made by credit card or check.
  • Mail checks, payable to NEA, to the NEA Pacific Regional Office, 1705 Murchison Drive, Suite 100, Burlingame, CA 94010. Please specify who the registration fee covers and include a copy of your registration confirmation.
  • The fee covers attendance at sessions, conference materials and the following meals: dinner Friday, breakfast and lunch Saturday, and brunch Sunday.
  • Last day for online registration is February 19, 2010. After that date, registration will be on site.

  • Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m.
  • Parking garages are available within walking distance at various rates.
  • Hotel rooms are subject to availability based on the number of rooms in the contracted block.
  • The group room rates as established will apply three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the conference dates, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation.
  • Hotel reservations must be made by February 19, 2010 to receive the group rate (see above). 
  • A credit card will be required in order to secure reservations. Reservations will require a one night’s deposit at the time of the reservation. Credit cards will not be charged until check-in (or in the event of a no-show).
  • To cancel, call the hotel at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance of arrival to avoid forfeiting your deposit. If you fail to cancel within 72 hours or to show, your deposit of one's night room and tax will be not refunded.

The Peppermill features a convenient airport shuttle which departs from the valet area outside the Hotel Lobby, and runs every half-hour beginning at 4 a.m.  The last shuttle departs from the Peppermill going to the airport at 11:30 p.m.  In addition, the airport shuttle departs for the airport going to the Peppermill every half-hour beginning at 4:15 a.m. and continuing to 11:45 p.m.  The shuttle picks up at the North exit of the Baggage Claim area.

  • Estimated taxi fare: $10.00 (one way).

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be received by no later than February 19, 2010.

  • If you registered online, please cancel online. To make changes to your online registration or to cancel your registration, return to the online registration form, click existing registration, and then enter the email address you originally registered with. Your online registration can also be easily accessed from your confirmation email.
  • If you are unable to cancel online, please cancel by email to PRLC@nea.org. Please make sure to include a copy of your online invoice or registration record. Please also provide your full name, email address, contact phone number, and reason for canceling.
  • All fees paid by credit card will be refunded to your credit card within 7-10 business days after the date of cancellation.
  • All fees paid by check will be refunded by check within 4 to 6 weeks after the conclusion of the conference.
  • 100% of your fees will be refunded if your cancellation is received by Friday, February 19, 2010.
  • No refunds will be issued if you cancel after Friday, February 19, 2010.
  • No refunds will be issued for no shows.

Miscellaneous

  • The Open Hearing on Resolutions is scheduled for Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Copies of the 2009-2010 NEA Resolutions will be provided at the Hearing and can be reviewed in advance here on the Web.
  • Nominations for the 2010 NEA Human and Civil Rights Award were closed December 11, 2009.
