Global Action Week
April 20-26, 2009
Each year, the Global Campaign for Education organizes Global Action Week. This year, the focus is on adult literacy and lifeong learning. 774 million adults around the world cannot read and 75 million children who are not in school will be denied the chance to learn to read and write.
The Global Campaign for Education is collecting names to deliver to governments during the week of the 20th to 26th April 2009 to demand that they take action to make sure that everyone has an education.
