Symposium on Universal Design for Learning & Inclusive Education Practices
The National Education Association and the Including Samuel Project (at the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire) invite you to join in a special interactive exploration of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Inclusive Education Practices.

Place: NEA Building in Washington, D.C.
Beginning with a welcome from NEA Vice President Lily Eskelson and a screening of the award-winning documentary Including Samuel presented by filmmaker Dan Habib, this symposium will be different from the typical D.C. gathering. Participants will hear from national experts - CAST Co-founder Dr. David Rose, Former Assistant Secretary of Education Dr. Judith Heumann, and Project Director with the Institute on Disability Dr. Cheryl Jorgensen, and learn about district and school UDL initiatives from National Board Certified Teacher Mary Jamison, and Associate Director of the National Down Syndrome Society Policy Center Ricki Sabia. Through a critical inquiry process, participants will develop an action plan focused on creating inclusive opportunities for ALL students.
