Bob Chanin Book Signing
Hall G at 2:30 PM on July 4th
July 3, 2010
Last year may have been his last Representative Assembly as NEA’s general counsel, but Bob Chanin wasn’t ready to say goodbye to friends and delegates.

Chanin is back this year to sign copies of More Than a Lawyer, a new book written by NEA’s Michael Edwards and Mark Walsh, a contributing writer to Education Week. The book chronicles the significant role that Chanin played in the transformation of NEA from a quiet professional organization to a dynamic union at the forefront of the civil rights movement, collective bargaining battles and education reform.
In his 41 years at NEA, Chanin guided NEA through difficult and transitional times. More Than a Lawyer is not just a story about him, but an inside look at how NEA came to be the strong labor organization it is today.
To greet Chanin and get a signed copy of More Than a Lawyer, visit the NEA Professional Library Store in Hall G at 2:30 PM on July 4th.
