Education Innovators Honored

Cable in the Classroom’s (CIC) Leaders in Learning Awards recognize outstanding educators, administrators, policymakers, and other community leaders at the forefront of innovation in education.

Applications are accepted in five categories:

• general excellence
• cable partnerships for learning
• pushing the envelope
• policymaker excellence
• media literacy education.

Winners receive a $3,000 cash prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., in June 2008. While there, recipients will visit with members of Congress to talk about their award-winning programs, and attend a gala event with policymakers, government officials, leaders of the national education community, cable industry executives, and other VIPs.

The deadline to submit an application is 12 p.m. noon, PT, on January 16, 2008. Applications are accepted online only at www.leadersinlearningawards.org.
