NEA Friend of Education Award for 2013

Nominations are now being accepted for the NEA Friend of Education Award. This award is the Association's highest honor and may be bestowed on an individual, organization, or group whose leadership, acts, or support have significantly benefited public education, education employees, and/or students on a national level. Nominators must be either an NEA member or a local or state affiliate, and the nominations must include:
- Nominee's name, position and/or organizational affiliation, and address
- Nominator’s: name, signature, name of local affiliate, address and phone number
- If nominating as an individual, nominator must send proof of membership.
- Rationale for the nomination and a summary of the nominee’s qualifications to receive the award. Nominees will be evaluated based on their demonstrated contributions to the advancement of public education nationally. It is recommended that nominators provide relevant materials (i.e. publications, links to videos & web-resources, etc.) to support the nominee’s candidacy.
