Higher Ed Conference

Welcome to a conference for the whole education community - higher education faculty and staff, education support personnel, K-12 teachers, retirees and students. One theme higher education participants will explore is "Through Time and Space" - a look at distance education as it affects teacher education, intellectual property, quality issues, collective bargaining, anytime/anywhere education, and technical support and training; another theme is "Social Justice for Educational Equity" - a look at community partnerships, access, affirmative action, and political action to create excellence. The third theme is "Reaching for Excellence" - a series of professional development activities designed to enhance the professional capabilities of higher education members. All of these themes contribute to the main theme of the conference - Quality Public Education for All.

Registration

To register for the conference, please return the registration form to the Office of Higher Education at the NEA with the corresponding registration fee, which includes luncheon and dinner on Friday, continental breakfast and luncheon on Saturday and Sunday, plus coffee breaks and materials:

NCHE Meeting

We invite all higher education members and staff to attend the regular annual meeting of the National Council for Higher Education, NCHE, on Thursday night April 6 at 7:00 PM and on Friday 9:00-12:00 noon. Several elections will occur as well as other issues to be considered.
