<p><a href="/he/research.html">NEA's Higher Education Research Center</a> is the premier place to find data on faculty and staff unions including national and state salary information. The national data is published annually in the <a href="/he/almanac.html"><em>NEA Almanac of Higher Education</em></a><em>.</em> Take a look at these sample Research Center materials:</p>

<li><a href="/he/salaries/index.html">Salary Reports</a> are issued yearly and provide wage information from institutions in every state.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li><a href="/he/heupdate/index.html"><em>Update</em></a> gives brief reports on key data including numbers of part-time faculty, tenured faculty and faculty retirement plans. It is published six times a year.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li><a href="/he/facts/index.html">Facts and Figures</a> says that by the year 2010, the number of higher education faculty will need to increase by 12,000 to keep up with the 18 million students enrolled in colleges and universities.
