Many Countries, One Goal

Fighting for educators’ rights and public schools is a global concern.

Around the world, educators face attacks on their profession and a lack of support for students and schools. NEA President Dennis Van Roekel describes NEA's work with Education International, a global federation of teacher unions with 30 million members in 173 countries. Educators in other countries want to know how we solve problems and our ideas for change. And we learn from our international colleagues. In the coming year, NEA will work with educators across the globe to move a shared agenda: great public education for the world's children.
