Global Action Week 2015 - April 26 to May 2, 2015

The Right to Education 2000-2030 - Vote for Education!

In the world, 58 million children are still out of school. Global Action week (GAW) is an annual worldwide campaign since 2001 to raise awareness of the urgent need to provide quality education for all and to put pressure on public authorities, policy makers, donors, parents and other stakeholders to ensure that the right of all children and young people to universal, free quality education is fulfilled and Education for All (EFA) goals achieved by 2015.

This year's Global Action Week takes place from April 26 to May 2. The theme of GAW 2015 is The Right to Education 2000-2030: Vote for Education. This theme provides us with an opportunity to reflect on achievements and challenges since 2000, demand governments take responsibility for unfulfilled promises for the period of 2000-2015 and that they commit to make the right to education a reality from 2015 to 2030.
