Keep Public Education Strong!

As threats against public education continue to rise, the financial support of NEA–Retired members is more necessary than ever. Please consider making a monetary contribution to these two important programs.

Jack Kinnaman Memorial Scholarship Fund

This $2,000 award remembers the late Kinnaman who served NEA–Retired as vice president and Advisory Council member, and held positions at the local, state and national levels of NEA.  Kinnaman is most remembered for his commitment to students—especially those facing financial need—and for serving as NEA’s Cat in the Hat during the annual Read Across America celebration.

The scholarship bearing Kinnaman’s name goes to exceptional future educators who are members of the NEA Student Program. The award is presented during the NEA–Retired annual meeting, which precedes NEA’s annual Representative Assembly held each July.

Send your tax-deductible contribution to:

The Fund for Children and Public Education

NEA’s political action campaign (PAC) supports candidates who speak up for public education at the local, state and federal levels. The fund gives NEA members a strong voice on critical education issues, and help to keep public education strong.

Now is the time to make a contribution that will strengthen public education at the ballot box and provide financial support to an aspiring teacher. With your support, we can reach our goal of great public schools for every student!
