Found In: minority community outreach

May 17, 2014 marks the 60th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education, when the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional. The National Education Association (NEA) is in search of personal stories and reflections from students who attended public schools in the 1950s and 1960s.We’d like to hear about your experiences with segregation and integration, and about the educators who helped ensure that every student received an equal education. What you share will be considered for use in a multimedia presentation on the 60th anniversary of Brown vs. Board.
