RAISE YOUR HAND NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION
Join educators, parents, and community leaders and raise your hand and voice for students and great public schools
Educators and leaders will gather in Washington on April 2 to discuss critical issues relative to student success with members of Congress and policymakers. And in communities across the country, we’ll be standing up and raising our voices to demand that our local officials—recruit caring and qualified young people to the education profession, provide adequate school funding, and freedom from standardized testing so every student can learn and every educator can teach.
The National Education Association is issuing a renewed call to action—Raise Your Hand—a national initiative to mobilize educators, parents, and community leaders who share our commitment to ensuring the success of all our students. By tapping into their commitment and leadership to serve America's students, we are uniting our members with parents, community leaders and elected officials across the country, to fulfill the promise of public education and prepare every student to succeed.
