John Wright, a classroom teacher for more than 20 years and president of the Arizona Education Association, was invited to testify at an April 16 hearing titled, "Fiscal Year 2009 Education Appropriations: Improving Teacher Quality." NEA submitted his testimony for the record and sent members of Congress a memorandum with recommendations for the FY09 education appropriations bill.
