Message to members of Congress who have cosponsored H.R. 82 or S. 206:

I am a[insert your position, e.g., teacher, school bus driver, classroom aide, etc.] at[insert school name] in[insert city and state].

I would like to thank you for supporting legislation to repeal the Government Pension Offset and Windfall Elimination Provision. These offsets unfairly cut retirement benefits of public employees who dedicated their lives to serving their communities and their country. And, they discourage talented people from becoming educators.

Please urge your leaders in Congress to move this legislation immediately. If Congress does not act soon, we will not be able to attract and retain the quality teaching force necessary to ensure great public schools for every child.
