at NCLB Implementation
Here are snapshots of each state's implementation status in complying with the mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB/ESEA) in the following areas: state accountability plans, percentage of teachers and paraprofessionals who have met the "highly qualified" definitions under NCLB as of 2005-06, and state standards and assessment plans.
On each state page, you will also find links to two charts. One illustrates the gap between authorized and actual federal funding of Title I under ESEA. (For additional funding information for individual states, see gaps in funding for education programs.) The other chart shows the percentage of schools in that state that did not make "Adequate Yearly Progress" and are in improvement/corrective action status. The charts on the right on this page reflect national data -- while the charts on each state's page are tailored to that state.
