All Reading, All the Time

It's not (just) elementary, my dear.

Think NEA's Read Across America is just for elementary students? Think it's just March 2? Think again! Now in its eighth year, Read Across America celebrates reading across all grades, all year long.

In Los Angeles, high school students raised the roof last year in the Words of Oneness Poetry Slam. In Jackson, New Jersey, middle school students collectively read as many books as miles between their hometown and Hollywood, California—that's 2,947!—symbolically "reading across America."

At www.nea.org/readacross, you'll find a wealth of resources and book lists for students of all ages, including English-language learners—plus an online tool kit to help you celebrate. While there, don't forget to sign up for the monthly RAA e-newsletter!
