I Pledge Allegiance

A Colorado geography teacher was suspended with pay in August for displaying in his classroom the flags of other nations, including China and Mexico, as well as the United Nations. Although the flags were relevant to his curriculum, school officials said they believed the teacher had violated a state law prohibiting the display of foreign flags on public property. The law does make an exception for flags used temporarily for instructional purposes.
