UpFront05.jpgSchools, airports, and even coffeehouses often boast of their wireless Internet connections. But across the Atlantic, several schools in England have pulled the plug on wireless networks in response to health fears. Though they lack conclusive research, parents said they worry low-level radiation from transmitters causes headaches, memory loss, even cancer. One teacher told The (London) Times that although local government said it’s perfectly safe, “[We] decided that the concerns of the parents were of greater importance than our need to have a wireless network.”
