NEA opposes vouchers

NEA opposes the use of tax dollars to provide vouchers for private education (/voucher/index.html) for all students, including students with disabilities. Attempts to include voucher proposals as amendments to H.R. 1350, the House version of reauthorization legislation, were defeated and there currently is no mention of vouchers in the Senate version. However, it’s possible that a voucher amendment may appear when S. 1248 is introduced on the Senate floor.
