<p align="left">Here's a list of tasks that we typically do for each school.</p>

<p><strong>Project 1:</strong> : <a id="project1" name="project1"></a><strong>Painting (Doorways-Windows-Stairs)</strong><br />
# of Volunteers Needed: 60</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Volunteers will prep area by scraping and cleaning. Spray sealant and let dry. Tape off areas and carefully paint. Use small paint brushes. Take your time. Two coats. In this job, patience is a virtue! :</p>

<p><strong>Project 2:</strong> <strong><a id="project2" name="project2"></a>Painting (decorative in the Cafeteria)<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 20-30</p>

<p>Task:</p>

To paint mural designs in the cafeteria. Murals to be designed and outlined on walls prior to event. Volunteers must be careful and meticulous. Bring patience and a positive attitude

<p><strong>Project 3:</strong> : <a id="project3" name="project3"></a><strong>Paint (Bathrooms and Office)<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 25-30</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Student Bathrooms: remove partitions (heavy demolition work), scrub floors, scrub sinks, scrub toilets/urinals, paint walls, paint or complete murals. Four student bathrooms, four volunteers for each room</p>

<p>Teacher Bathrooms: paint walls, replace furniture, clean sink, toilets/urinals, and floors. Three teacher bathrooms, three volunteers for each room</p>

<p>Office: three volunteers. decoratively paint the entry to the office.</p>

<p align="left"><strong>Project 4:</strong> <a id="project4" name="project4"></a><strong>Painting (stencil room numbers)<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 4</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>to stencil the numbers and secure name holders outside all the classroom and office areas.</p>

<strong>Project 5: <a id="project5" name="project5"></a>Decorate Bulletin Boards<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 90</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Each trio will have their own set of supplies. All the bulletin boards in the hallways outside the classrooms should be decorated. 70 small bulletin boards (36x48) and 10 large bulleting boards (48x80). Each group should complete 2-3 boards. Make them creative and inviting. Some boards may have a pre-determined theme.</p>

<p><strong>Project 6:</strong> <strong><a id="project6" name="project6"></a>Teacher&#8217;s Lounge<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 10</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>To assist designer in completely renovating the teachers lounge. Wall paint, new furniture, appliances&#8230;</p>

<p><strong>Project 7:</strong> <strong><a id="project7" name="project7"></a>Media Center<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 10</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Volunteers will engage in a series of activities including organizing the shelves of the library. Volunteers will label, number, organize, store and take inventory of the various books and titles. The Librarian will assist with pertinent instructions.</p>

<p align="left"><strong>Project 8:<a id="project8" name="project8"></a> Human Water Cooler<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 4</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Volunteers will be tasked with bringing water and snacks to the people working inside the classrooms and outside in the sun. Two volunteers will supply fluids to the volunteers working inside the building. Two volunteers will supply fluids to the volunteers working outdoors. It will be very hot, this is a very important task. Be sure to keep yourselves hydrated too!</p>

<p><strong>Project 9: <a id="project9" name="project9"></a>Walkoff Carpet<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 4</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>To replace the walk-off carpet in all entry ways. Volunteers will apply adhesive and install carpet squares. Carpets must fit snuggly. Take your time, cut and lay carpet to be sure everything fits prior to securing with adhesive. Your math skills will come in handy!</p>

<p><strong>Project 10: <a id="project10" name="project10"></a>Replace Classroom Walls</strong><br />
# of Volunteers needed: 12</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>To replace the operable classroom walls with solid classroom walls. Volunteers will assist district employees in framing walls and hanging drywall. This will be a labor intensive job. Bring a positive attitude and lots of energy.</p>

<p><strong>Project 11: <a id="project11" name="project11"></a>Material Cleanout and Organization</strong><br />
# of Volunteers needed: 5-10</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Volunteers will sort through materials that teachers are discarding. Useable materials/resources, will be sorted and organized by grade level and subject area. Materials to be donated to local chapters of the PSEA Student Program.</p>

<p><strong>Project 12: <a id="project12" name="project12"></a>Classroom Cleanup<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 30</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Clean desks, walls, windows, fix hooks for coats in cubbies. Volunteers work in pairs. Each pair should clean 2-3 classrooms.</p>

<strong>Project 13: <a id="project13" name="project13"></a>Guidance Room<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 4-6</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Volunteers will work with guidance counselor to clean and reorganize space. Put together new furniture and sort/organize resources for counselor.</p>

<h3 align="left">Outside Projects</h3>

<p><strong>Project 14: <a id="project14" name="project14"></a>Landscaping<br />
</strong># of Volunteers needed: 70</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Provide a professional landscape design for the playground area and in the front of the school. The job will include:</p>

<ul>
<li>prior removal of hardscape and preparation for sod</li>

<li>instillation of sod, shrubs, plants in the rear of school</li>

<li>plantings for the front and entry of the school</li>
</ul>

<p>This work will require a muscle and endurance. The professional landscapers will supervise the volunteers to make sure this work can be accomplished. The volunteers will be divided into groups assigned to a particular professional. Professional will provide instruction and consultation on what and where to plant, mulch, grade, etc. Gloves and other equipment will be provided. There will be stake body dump trucks, steer loaders and other equipment used for delivery and heavy hauling if necessary.</p>

</strong># of Volunteers needed: 15-20</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>Paint parking lines, curb (yellow line), caution areas in loading zones, No Parking zone, Handicap image.</p>

</strong># of Volunteers needed: 8-10</p>

<p>Task:</p>

<p>To paint faux rugs where the picnic benches are to be placed. Time permitting, paint the fence.</p>
