The School Dropout Crisis
Exploring Communitywide Solutions
The School Dropout Crisis is a community discussion guide that provides tools to help groups start the conversation about the dropout problem in ways that lead to communitywide solutions.
A downloadable chapter, The School Dropout Crisis Overview ( PDF, 1007 KB, 14 pp), describes the problem and makes the argument for using communitywide solutions. A complete print copy of the guide, available for purchase, includes the overview and additional chapters that lay out the five key elements that a dropout initiative should consider.
For more information about the guide, see the Pew Partnership for Civic Change Web site.
