Pre-K for Hispanic Children
New Report About Closing the Achievement Gap
A new report, Pre-K and Latinos: The Foundation for America's Future (July 2006), shows how access to high-quality pre-kindergarten for Hispanic children helps to close an achievement gap and is an important step toward improving K-12 education.
The new report was released by Pre-K Now, a national advocacy and public education organization that works with states to advance pre-K for all children. In the report, states will find ways to increase Latino families' participation in pre-K and help close the achievement gap.
For more information and a copy of the report, see the Pre-K Now Web site.
