Richard Ingersoll, Professor of Education and Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania, has published many articles and research reports on the issues of teacher turnover and teacher shortages. His online bio lists many of them, including a 2004 report on the effects of induction and mentoring programs on beginning teachers.
Ingersoll is also the author of Who Controls Teachers' Work? Power and Accountability in America's Schools, published by Harvard Press (2003).
