Free-Loan Teaching Resources
The National Gallery of Art offers the free loan of teaching materials that meet national K-12 standards in the visual arts. The packets/slides, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and videos examine a variety of artists, subjects, techniques, and styles. Many programs contain suggestions for related activities and questions designed to stimulate discussion of the art, artists, and cultural and historical issues. -
Environment
Rainforest Speaker at Your School
Arrange for a power point presentation at your school by the president of Save The Rainforest, Inc. Bruce Calhoun will speak about the effect of the new climate change agreement on tropical forests, the past efforts of young people and educators to save the rainforest, and some ways students can build on those efforts through volunteerism and advocacy.
