NEA president horrified by tape revealing Donald Trump bragged about sexual assault

Eskelsen García: Trump only sees women as "fat pigs" or sex objects.

WASHINGTON - October 07, 2016 -

NEA President Lily Eskelsen García provided the following response upon learning that Donald Trump was caught on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women:

“Donald Trump couldn’t make it any clearer that he has zero respect for women. His most recent comments only add to the constant barrage of sexist and misogynistic insults that seem to dominate his worldview. The bottom line is that Donald Trump seems to see women in only two ways: as 'fat pigs' or as sex objects.

"This is such a far cry from Hillary Clinton, who has been fighting on behalf of women’s rights her entire life. On behalf of mothers, daughters and granddaughters throughout this nation, I believe now more than ever that we must elect Hillary Clinton.”

The NEA is America's largest labor union. One in 100 Americans is an NEA member and 76% of NEA members are women.
