The Cathance River Education Alliance (CREA) has six Nature Games that can be played online or downloaded to an iPad. In the games, students locate and read about mammals, birds, fish, pond animals, and minerals commonly found in Maine and then test themselves on what they have learned. The games can be used to supplement grade 5-12 general science and biology.

Catch the Fish offers two games: cold water and warm water fish. In each game, students click a fish to learn about it. A culminating quiz provides two chances to identify a fish. Each correct answer earns two points. An incorrect answer subtracts a point. At game end, students can choose to practice more or play a different game.

Find the Mammals presents mammals in four habitats: forest, meadow, wetlands, open woods. Students find and learn about all the mammals in all four habitats before taking the quiz. Some animal information pages include photos and videos.

The site offers two mineral games:

In Pond Life, students scoop creatures from the water to learn about the larvae and adults of insects and tadpoles and hatchlings of amphibians.
