Spanish Skit Dialogues

July 27, 2009

“I like to help student pairs construct skit dialogues at the end of a unit with recycled and current content and vocabulary. I encourage the students to base their conversation on something that really happened, or that they hope will happen, so they will be more engaged and more likely to memorize their lines. Students may read or recite -- whichever they prefer. Really, it’s all about the preparation process, during which I can visit working pairs of students and offer individualized assistance and assessment. This unit requires a couple of days of preparation and a couple of days for all students to present their skit dialogues. I encourage my students to use fun props.”
