Building Motivation

Found in: motivating students

To build motivation in a challenging classroom, use positive comments for each student. Identify a student's strengths and attributes and point them out in front of the class. Also, give positive suggestions for improving their achievement and success. Students become eager to hear their positive qualities and listen carefully to what they can do to improve. Care, though, must be taken for this activity to be meaningful for each student.
