Carpet Squares
Carpet square samples are wonderful to use in the classroom. In addition to being “sit-upons,” they can also be used to define a workspace for a child or small group. They can also be used to confine manipulatives (especially for math), games, and puzzles to a defined space. Each student has a “territory” marked. Most carpet and furniture stores will give the outdated samples to teachers at no cost.
