Equitable Team Homework

I teach on a three person team, and I found that my second and third block kids were working on their homework throughout the day until they would come to my class. To make it equitable for all and to stop copying and doing homework in other classes, I put a box with my name on it in each of my partners' rooms. My partners also did the same. Now when our kids come in the morning, any homework due has to be placed in the boxes before school starts. Since we have homeroom at the beginning of the day, which gives us a moment to go around and collect the homework. Students that do not turn in their homework during this time, have points subtracted. It's equitable and it encourages responsibility.
