Forget-Me-Not File

Found In: make-up work, routines & procedures

We use a Forget-Me-Not File to help absent students stay on top of their work. During the day we have a class recorder write down what was done in each class, list the homework, and collect handouts. At the end of the day I make copies of all this, as well as any notes that were taken by the students, and put it all in a file for that day of the week. When absent students return to school all they need to do is check each file for the days they were absent. Everything needed to make up work is in the file.
