Homework Excuse Notes

Students who do not have their homework must fill out a homework excuse note. I circle the missing subject at the top and write the page numbers of the assignment. There is space below that states, 'The reason I don't have my homework is . . .' with lines for the student to write the excuse. The student has to have it signed and returned the next day in addition to the missing work. At conference time, I can show the parents the excuse notes. This lets parents see the excuses I hear in writing.
