In my Algebra 2 class, when teaching students the quadratic formula, I teach my class how to remember the quadratic formula by using the tune of Pop Goes the Weasel: x equals negative b/ plus or minus the square root/ of b squared minus/ four a c/ all over 2 a. Here's the quadratic formula if you don't recognize it: x = [-b +/- square root (b^2 - 4ac)]/[2a]. It has now caught on to all of the teachers in our whole school, and students come back years later still remembering the quadratic formula and the song! A HUGE hit!
