I made up an answer sheet with 4 sections and 5 lines in each section, numbered 1 to 5. I have the children put the page number for that day on the top line for that section, then complete 5 quick computation problems, putting the answer on the answer sheet. The children know to immediately put the paper face down in my basket. After presenting the math lesson for the day, the students work on some independent practice. I am able to quickly go through and mark the 5 questions on their quiz sheet and return it to them. After 4 days, I have a quiz with 20 questions graded. This is an easy way to get a computation quiz each week without much work.
