Recycling for Art Activities

Take advantage of your school's recycling program for free art supplies -- cardboard, plastic bottles, boxes, and, of course, paper. Pick a topic (statues, bridges, diorama based on favorite book, mobiles, etc.) and organize the students into teams. The teams will promote communication, cooperation, and problem solving skills which will transfer into their other classes as well. After the artwork is completed, presented by the teams, and enjoyed, it can be recycled all over again.
