School-Wide Hall Pass Policy

The basis of our school-wide hall pass policy is our student planners. My school requires that all students have a student planner (designed and produced by an outside vendor). When setting up the planners, I include a hall pass section. Students must have their planner to be let out of class. You, as the teacher can instantly see if students are abusing the privilege since the hall pass includes the date, time and reason for leaving class. The planners seem to have greatly limited the number of wanderers!
