Sheets for Shelves

At the end of each year, we are asked to cover our shelves to keep the dust, etc. out. Why not use old bed sheets instead of using all the good bulletin board paper which in most cases cannot be recycled? I have asked parents to send in old bed sheets when I needed more. They are easy to wash and store. Recycle!
