How Smartphone Cameras Can Eliminate Zeros

Before they turn in an assignment, I urge my students to take a photo of it, making sure the heading is clearly visible, and store the image in a Homework album on their phones. In this way, they have evidence that they completed an assignment should a question ever arise.

Students can also take photos of directions or important slides on a digital whiteboard. If an assignment description or important explanation has been visible on the Smart screen for several minutes and I want to move on, I invite them to snap a photo. This lets them refer to a description at home if they are finishing an assignment for homework.
