Antonia less rules are better. When a kid does anything out of line, just say "you are stopping other kids from learning, and that's not fair. The rebuke should always be followed with the reason. That way ALL the kids know it's because you care, not because you are arbitrarily strict.

There's a behavior program called CHAMPS that might help you set the standards in your kindergarten.

With young children you need to practice every activity you want them to do and make a game out of it. Try to do it more quickly, have a hand signal ....examples- lining up, sitting in reading area, getting class attention, quieting class for listening activities.
