Private Grades

September 07, 2010

In order to respect the privacy of my students’ grades, I designate the top left or right corner as a place to record grades. After marking a grade on the paper, I turn down the corner and staple it closed. This eliminates any embarrassment when students pass back others’ work.

That is a great idea! Thank you for sharing.

I like this idea. I get tired of always passing out papers with grade. But with a turned down corner anyone is able to pass back papers.

Each of my students has a class folder, and each class has a separate box of hanging folders. I return papers directly into the folders, facing backward, to avoid handing back papers in class, and to help my students keep track of papers they need to keep.
