“I keep a box labeled ‘September’ in which I put copies of initial assessments, blank file folders, materials I need to set up, name tags/labels on desks, etc. When August rolls around, I pull out the box, grab most of the contents, and bring materials home to label with students’ names. The following September/October, I replenish it so I don't have to think about it for the rest of the year.”
