Turn the Tables on the Tantrum Thrower
November 29, 2012
As principal, I have responded to early childhood educators who have called for assistance for a temper tantrum thrower in the classroom. We left the tantrum thrower in the room and moved the class outside to continue the lesson. The tantrum thrower soon stopped and joined the class outside. The class ignored him and returned to their activity inside the classroom. A little bit of disruption for a good result. We had to do this three times before the little turkey decided it wasn’t worth the effort.
