In a presidential election year, The History Channel provides historical context with this presentation. Each program shows the human side of the presidents, their personal strengths and weaknesses, their families, the historical events that defined their administrations, and how their responses affected the direction of the country. Today's students will have at least some personal knowledge of the more recent events of the final episode, which ends with scholars speculating on what the second term of George W. Bush will be like. As that final term winds down, this episode should make for interesting discussions.
