Organizing Parent Teacher Correspondence

Found in: parent-teacher communication, routines and procedures

I purchase an 8 1/2 x 11 manila envelope for each student in my class. Punch 3-ring holes in each envelope and label with a child's name. Put in alphabetical order and place in a 3-ring binder. Each time I write a parent note a put a copy in the child's envelope. When I receive a note I add it to the child's envelope. I often go back to these envelopes for reference and clarification.
